How to Cancel the Automatic Renewal of Subscription on the App Store

These services are accessible by subscription via the Apple application store and usually cost from a few dollars per month to a few dozen dollars . They usually offer a free trial month to test the application before subscribing.

But how to cancel a subscription taken on an iPad or an iPhone and suspend its automatic renewal: without any action on your part, your subscription will be renewed every month and billed by Apple via the App Store.

There is no need to request the cancellation directly from the service you are using since Apple manages the subscriptions from the App Store and you will have to go through your iPhone or your iPad to cancel a subscription.

How to Cancel A Subscription on iPhone or iPad?

  1. Press the Settings icon on the home screen.
  2. In the left menu, press iTunes Store and App Store.
  3. Press on your Apple ID (top right).
  4. In the new window that opens, click on Show Apple ID. Enter your password if prompted.
  5. Press Subscriptionsm
  6. Click on the subscription you want to suspend and then press Cancel Subscription.

Please note: in step 6, stopping your subscription is not the only action as you can also change the option for your subscription.
