How to Check Disk Space Using Disk Utility

Step 1: Open Disk Utility via the Spotlight search. You can open this either via the small magnifying glass at the top right of the menu bar or via the key combination [⌘] + [Space]. Enter "Disk Utility" there and click on the corresponding result.
Step 2: On the left side, you can select the hard disk for which you need disk space information. In the middle, you will then be shown clearly in a bar chart how much space is still available on the hard disk. ×
How to Check Disk Space on Mac from About this Mac

Step 1: Click on the apple icon in the upper right corner and select About this Mac from the context menu.
Step 2: In the window that opens, switch to the Hard disks tab at the top. There you will see the connected hard disks and the corresponding storage space allocation clearly displayed in bar charts.
Step 3: If you need more information about your hard disk, click on the "Overview" tab and then on "System report" at the bottom left.
Step 4: You are now in the Mac System Profiler. Click on "Hard Disk" in the category "Hardware" in the left column.
You will then see the hard disks connected to your Mac with the available space and further information. If you have more than one hard drive connected to your Mac, simply click on the appropriate drive and the additional information will appear. ×
How to Check Disk Space via Finder App

Step 1: Open the Finder and click on your Mac under Devices on the left. Here you will now see the connected hard drives. Make a right click on the asked hard disk and select Information from the context menu.
Step 4: A new window will appear with all possible information about your hard disk. You can find the information about the storage capacity under General.
